Introducing: The ChessHive Forums

When I registered the domain name, ChessHive.com, and built a website around it, I had it in mind to truly build a community for chess players and chess enthusiasts, especially about the developments in chess scenes in the Philippines.

We have seen chess news sites that offer the latest news about chess, just like chessbase.com, but that are lacking in the spirit of community. You just cannot simply comment on their articles. I have also seen a large community in pinoychess.informe.com, but that is hosted at an online service, informe.com. The community is basically at the mercy of this service provider, informe.com.

I have also seen the long discussion in Wesley So's page in chessgames.com. Unfortunately, that was a single thread with a very long discussion. There must be a way to separate these discussions into the many topics as they are about, which only a forums application can do.

This site is basically about Philippine chess. And to better build a real community around it, I have created a forums to supplement the discussions on this blog.

Please go check out the ChessHive Forums, register and fire away the discussions!
